Research Fellows Program
I held two tours of duty as a Research Fellow at CIA. My assignments included the design and build of one of the Agency’s first database platforms for use in statistical and probability assessments of terrorism and, the evaluation and appraisal of private sector political risk methodologies for their utility in intelligence forecasting. I was awarded an internal certificate for advanced CIT security applications for counter-terrorism projects.
My alma mater recently honored me with an award to acknowledge my career’s accomplishments as based in large part on my undergraduate studies there. The award came from the University’s College of liberal Arts and Sciences, as sponsored by the Department of Political Science.

As a Doctor of Optometry at a major U.S. research hospital, I have over 30 years in practice, specializing in working with patients whose complex medical conditions, such as keratoconus, extreme astigmatism or post-corneal surgery, require complex contact lens fittings.
I have known Dr. Sucilla for over 25 years, during which time I have become quite familiar with his work in the vision care space, particularly his EyeScripts project. In my professional judgement, I believe that EyeScripts represents a very practical solution to one of the eye care community’s current and most vexing problems: prescription release and verification. My practice experiences a number of inconvenient difficulties and costs due to this problem that can be greatly reduced or eliminated entirely by this clever system.
